I know how hard you’ve been hustling to make everyone happy, garner approval, and receive acceptance and validation from everyone around you, even measuring yourself against projected social media norms and standards.

You’re beginning to realize that your efforts are never enough, and this is causing you to feel resentful and taken for granted.

I know all this because I am a recovering people pleaser.  I understand your struggle because I have lived it. However, I believe that resentment and burnout are flashing red lights pointing us in the direction of better boundary-setting.

I am here to help you re-evaluate the costs of living this lifestyle and offer you the tools and strategies to change.

I want to help you stop appointing others the authority of your life and decisions, and yes, this means I want to help you start dis-appointing others when the alternative is dis-appointing yourself.

THIS MEANS:

  • You will learn how to set and preserve healthy boundaries designed to protect your energy and your relationships.
  • You will learn how to identify which relationships are healthy and life-affirming and which ones are draining your energy and resources.
  • You will learn how to hear and trust that still, small voice inside of you that is wise and knowing.

“Daring greatly means the courage to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you’re feeling. To have the hard conversations.”

I want you to wake up in the morning feeling hopeful and confident that you can handle the day and its challenges.

In order to live a life of wholeness and integrity, I believe our insides need to match our outsides.  This means being honest with ourselves and others.  It can be scary, but it is also FREEING!

SERVICES OFFERED:

WALK TALK THERAPY

You may be wondering, “What is walk talk therapy?  Well, it’s pretty much what it sounds like.  It’s taking therapy off the couch and out into the great outdoors where you can experience simultaneously the combined benefits of counseling, exercise, mindfulness, deep breathing, fresh air, and the satisfaction of moving forward literally and figuratively.

Many people find that walking and talking side by side while moving forward with a therapist feels more comfortable than sitting face to face in an office-setting while being expected to talk about one’s feelings.

In addition, the endorphins that get released during exercise as well as the body’s absorption of Vitamin D from the sun work together to help people not only feel better after a session, but also, helps them get unstuck in their thinking.

  • Ever notice a change in your perspective or discovering a solution to a problem after taking a walk?
  • Ever notice feeling more energetic, optimistic, motivated, and hopeful after taking a walk?

This is because walk talk therapy is, by definition, TAKING ACTION.

Taking action, or taking that first step is what so many of us need when we are feeling stuck.

Now consider adding the clinical expertise and skill set of a trained therapist to that experience.  The results can be very powerful and rewarding!

In walk talk therapy, we walk at a pace that is comfortable for you.  That means anything from brisk, power walking to enjoying a leisurely stroll where we make time to intentionally slow down, appreciate nature, and mindfully consider the present moment.

In walk talk therapy, with its many paths, hills, valleys, views, surprises, and obstacles, we find a beautiful metaphor for life.

Come walk with me, and let’s move forward together!

TRADITIONAL OFFICE/TELEHEALTH THERAPY

I also offer traditional office therapy and telehealth services.  In the privacy and comfort of my office, I am able to offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) services.  Through telehealth, I can also administer EMDR, as well as afford clients the opportunity to experience therapy from the comfort of their own home without the stress of traveling to an appointment.  Most clients enjoy the option of toggling between all three modalities, depending on their preference and need that week.

SOUL SISTERS
